Our Pets
Here are some pictures of our dogs and cats
that let us live with them here at Botanical Acres.

This is Puggy our snaggle-toothed persian indoor
cat. He has such long hair, that Kirk trims it with the clippers
every few months. Here he is asleep in his favorite spot, and looking
out one of his favorite windows. |
| This is one of two outdoor cats, Copy Cat.
The late Bubba was a tabby also, and looks just like CC. That is
where CC got his name! |
  |
In addition to these official pets, Botanical Acres is home to
several opossums, raccoons,
armadillos, road runners, frogs, lizards, butterflies, and zillions of birds.
We actually had a Peafowl that showed up one day and wouldn't leave.
We believe him to be a male about 2 years old. We finally found a peafowl
rancher
in Oklahoma that wanted him and came and got him!

 |
For two or three years now we have had Monarch
butterflies migrate thru our place in September, and spend a night or
two in our trees.
Its hard to tell from the picture, but if you look close, you will
see dozens of Monarchs. |

We all know that our pets don't live forever. We wish they
did. Here are some of the
dogs & cats we shared Botanical Acres with in the past.
  |
Here is Ringo, our chow. He was about 13 years
old when he died in February 2003. He was a smart, loyal and loving dog.
He was Janis' perfect pet. |
| This is Snuffy aka Momma Cat. She died in 2001 after
living with us 15+ years. |
 |
I don't have a digital picture of our big boxer Hobo, who died
in March of 2001.
He was a perfect companion for Ringo.
